Bolton Wanderers have been left frustrated after the first half of their Championship game against Middlesbrough.
Despite having more of the ball and the better chances in the match, the home team find themselves level at the break.
Craig Davies tried his luck from long range early on and stung the palms of Jason Steele. From the resulting corner Medo Kamara sent a well-struck volley towards the top corner, only to be denied by Steele again.
The away side began to get more of the ball as the half wore on, without really threatening the Wanderers defence.
Some good play between Davies and Marvin Sordell released Darren Pratley midway through the half, but the midfielder's shot from the edge of the box went just wide.
Boro almost took the lead shortly before the break. Richard Smallwood dragged his shot wide, with Scott McDonald inches away from tapping it in at the back post.
They thought they were ahead on the stroke of half time, but Mustapha Carayol's goal was ruled out for offside and the teams remain level at half time.
