Bolton Wanderers have only netted once despite dominating proceedings in the opening 45 minutes against Peterborough United this evening.
The home side went ahead in just the fifth minute when on-loan West Bromwich Albion defender Craig Dawson headed home Jay Spearing's corner.
Bolton continued to dominate after the early goal and David N'Gog and Lee Chung-Yong fired just over.
Dougie Freedman had to make a chance midway through the half when Mark Davies picked up a knock and Stuart Holden had to come on in his place.
With 10 minutes left of the half Dawson almost found a second but couldn't quite find the net from another Spearing corner.
Posh almost stole an equaliser before the break but Nathaniel Mendez-Laing mis-hit a volley from six yards and the ball bobbled wide.
