Gary Cahill has admitted that joining up with the England squad has been a welcome change to the "tough" season at Bolton Wanderers.
The defender, who was linked to Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window, believes that he needs to resume focus after all the speculation surrounding his future.
"It's been a rollercoaster season for me, and it's been really tough at club level," The Mirror quotes Cahill as saying.
"But at international level it's been great, as we've qualified and done really well. It's been difficult personally. I need to get back fully focused and play the way I know I can."
The 25-year-old could start at the back for the Three Lions against Spain on Saturday or Sweden next week.
