Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon has insisted that Emile Heskey and Eidur Gudjohnsen could play together for the club.
Heskey joined the Trotters on a short-term contract earlier today, while Gudjohnsen returned to the club in a similar deal earlier this month.
The latter has already started one game for the Championship outfit, and Lennon hinted that Heskey could feature in their Boxing Day clash against Blackburn Rovers.
When asked whether the veteran pair could play together, Lennon told BBC Radio 5 live: "Absolutely, yes. [Heskey] could be in the squad for Boxing Day if we get the all clear because he's training very well. Eidur's playing very well at the minute as well, so there's no reason not to play the two of them.
"These players, they still have the quality. Sometimes the legs go a little bit but the two of them are still in very good condition for their age."
Bolton currently sit 16th in the Championship table.
