Neil Lennon's Bolton Wanderers suffered a late defeat to Sturm Graz in their first pre-season friendly of the summer this evening.
In the first half, Graz applied much of the early pressure, while at the other end Bolton strikers Gary Madine and Zach Clough had the odd half-chance.
It was the Austrian side who went in front just before half time thanks to Kristijan Dobras, who drilled home after a well-executed corner routine.
Bolton's 10 outfield players all changed for the second half and they were level within three minutes of the restart as Mark Davies tucked home at the second time of asking after his initial effort had been blocked.
Graz went close to restoring their lead when Andreas Gruber's low effort 15 minutes from time came back off the post, but they would grab a winner with five minutes remaining.
It came from the penalty spot and Roman Kienast after Dean Moxey had committed a foul in the area.
The match would end on a sour note as match-winner Kienast was sent off after a scuffle between the two sets of players.
