Bolton Wanderers are reportedly considering offering a contract to former Bristol City centre-back Liam Fontaine.
The 28-year-old left Ashton Gate at the end of last season, having played 279 times during eight years at the club.
Trotters manager Dougie Freedman is hoping to bolster his defensive options this summer and has already signed former Crystal Palace youngster Quade Taylor, Dorian Dervitte and Dean Moxey.
Sky Sports News reports that he is keen to take a look at Fontaine and has invited the former Fulham man to train with Wanderers, with the view to earning a contract.
Fontaine was part of the Robins side that lost the 2008 Championship playoff final to Hull City.
