Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman has said that he would like to bring Millwall winger Liam Feeney back to the club.
The 26-year-old, who had been on loan at Bolton, was recalled by his parent club last week to provide cover for injured pair Lee Martin and Richard Chaplow.
Freedman has admitted that Feeney had given him a direct option in his squad.
"Quite simply, I haven't got it within my squad," Freedman told the Bolton News.
"Liam is very direct and in the Championship you need many options. There are all kinds of sides you come up against - the long balls teams, the footballing teams, the compact counter-attacking ones.
"At my previous club I played with a couple of wingers and it's something I like to do. We liked Liam, I think the fans did too, and it's someone I'm looking for with that pace."
Feeney's current deal at Millwall is due to expire next summer.
