A number of clubs have submitted enquiries for Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Davies, according to Sky Sports News.
It was reported earlier today that Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill was keen to add the 34-year-old to his attacking ranks.
However, it now appears that the Black Cats face competition from fellow Premier League clubs Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion.
Scottish Premier League duo Celtic and Rangers are also said to be monitoring the situation closely.
Davies's current deal at the Reebok Stadium is due to expire in the summer.
