Bordeaux have registered a narrow 3-2 victory over relegation-threatened Nancy at home in Ligue 1.
The hosts were the better side in the first half and took the lead in the 41st minute when Andre Biyogho Poko turned in Julien Faubert's delivery from just yards out.
Four minutes later Bordeaux doubled their advantage through Henri Saivet, who latched on to Ludovic Obraniak's pass before firing home from close range.
Lossemy Karaboue halved the deficit for Nancy on 65 minutes, firing in from outside the box after being teed up by Yassine Jebbour.
Then with 10 minutes of normal time remaining, Salif Sane thought that he had secured a point for the visitors when he headed in Thomas Mangani's free kick from close range.
However, there was more drama to come at Stade Jacques Chaban-Delmas as Cheick Diabate made it 3-2 to Bordeaux four minutes from time, turning in Benoit Tremoulinas's cross.
Faubert could have added more gloss to the victory had his injury-time penalty not been saved by Damien Gregorini after Sane had brought down Nicolas Maurice-Belay inside the Nancy area.
