Bordeaux forward Jussie has said that he is ready to play for the club despite handing in a transfer request.
An exit looks on the cards after the 29-year-old Brazilian told coach Francis Gillot that he is actively seeking a new club, which has subsequently seen him overlooked for the first two games of the Ligue 1 season.
Jussie, who was loaned out to UAE side Al-Wasl last season, said that he understands why he is not being considered for selection.
"I can understand," he told L'Equipe. "I met the coach early during the pre-season training period. I told him that I was looking for a club, but I was at his disposal.
"If I had told him nothing, maybe I would play. I am under contract with Les Girondins and I want to play. I have been prepared for that and I am ready."
Gillot has not ruled out the prospect of Jussie returning to train with the first team if he is still at the club after the transfer window closes.
