Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that they have signed Andre Schurrle from Wolfsburg.
The 25-year-old forward has penned a five-year contract with Thomas Tuchel's side for a reported transfer fee of around £25m.
"Borussia Dortmund is one of the top clubs in Europe with a strong and extremely exciting squad," said Schurrle of his move. "I know from personal experience how much power BVB has through the interaction with its fans and look forward now to be able to experience that for the first time not as awestruck opponent, but as part of the team.
"In the coming years I want to celebrate success with Borussia Dortmund and [hope] to convince people that it was right to sign me."
Schurrle departs Wolfsburg after just 18 months with a record of 10 goals from 43 Bundesliga appearances. Prior to that he spent two seasons at Chelsea and also had two seasons under Tuchel at Mainz at the start of his career.
The Germany international is Dortmund's second big-name signing in the space of 24 hours following Mario Gotze's return to the Westfalenstadion on Thursday.
