Borussia Dortmund star Ilkay Gundogan has quashed rumours linking him with a move away from the club, revealing that he is likely to sign a new contract at the Westfalenstadion.
The 22-year-old has impressed for Die Borussen since signing from Nuremberg in 2011, helping the team to their second successive Bundesliga title as well as the semi-finals of this year's Champions League.
Reports have linked him with a move to the Premier League or La Liga, but the German international said that he plans on staying at Dortmund next season.
"I am 100% sure that I will still be with Dortmund next season," Gundogan told Bild.
"Rumours do not really affect me. I still have two more years on my contract with Dortmund and I know what I have at this incredible club.
"It is very likely that I will sign a new contract, although it obviously depends on how talks go."
Gundogan made his international debut in a 3-1 win over Belgium in the Euro 2012 qualifiers.
