Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has admitted that his side's 3-0 win away at Premier League champions Chelsea must be considered as their best-ever Premier League result.
The Cherries stunned the Blues by netting three goals in the space of 16 second-half minutes, lifting them from two points above the relegation zone and into the lofty heights of 10th.
After seeing Bournemouth score three goals in a Premier League away game against one of the established top-six sides for the first time, Howe claimed that belief will now be as high as ever in the dressing room.
"I think that has to be our best result and the best performance in getting the result. We had to be at our best against Chelsea and everyone was magnificent," he told BBC Sport.
"Our aggressiveness, our work-rate was spot on. It was a game of few chances but we deserved the scoreline in the end. We were desperate for a clean sheet, the last few stages were difficult to watch as the lads tired and we just wanted to get those three points and secure the clean sheet.
"It's not a statement to other teams as such but more for ourselves; we've beaten Arsenal and Chelsea recently so if we needed any more belief then that has to come now."
Bournemouth have gone six league games without defeat since Christmas, taking nine points from a possible 15 in that time.
