Eddie Howe tells Sports Mole that he wants to stay Bournemouth manager for the long term, despite being linked to jobs elsewhere.

Eddie Howe has insisted that he is 'only focused' on transforming Bournemouth into a successful Premier League side, despite questions over his own future.

The 36-year-old's ability to drag the Cherries from League One to the top flight within three years has enhanced his pedigree.

Recently, West Ham United were linked with the coach amid uncertainty over Sam Allardyce's future, but Howe has insisted that he does not want to cut ties with the Cherries due to the support from Russian owner Maxim Demin and chairman Jeff Mostyn.

When asked by Sports Mole if he still envisages staying at Bournemouth for the long term, Howe said: "Certainly, I do, especially with the owner and the board as it currently stands, with the support that they've given me and the way that they've enabled me to do my job.

"I'm very focused on trying to achieve success here and build a team - another team because we're going to have to build another team next season to [achieve] more success, whatever that is, at the Premier League level. So, my only focus is here."

Bournemouth's promotion to the top flight will be confirmed after their final game of the Championship season away to Charlton Athletic on Saturday, as third-placed Middlesbrough would need to score 19 goals in order to seal second spot.
