Bournemouth have reportedly moved ahead of fellow Premier League side Fulham in the race to sign Ryan Fredericks on a free transfer from West Ham United this summer.
It has been confirmed that the full-back will leave the Hammers upon the expiration of his contract at the end of June, bringing an end to a four-year stay at the London Stadium.
Several clubs have been credited with an interest as a result, but Football Insider are reporting that the Cherries are leading the race ahead of Scott Parker's former side Fulham.
The report suggests that Bournemouth are close to reaching an agreement for the 29-year-old, who played with Parker at Fulham between 2015 and 2017, prior to Parker retiring from his playing days and becoming a manager.
Fredericks spent three seasons with Fulham prior to moving to West Ham on a free transfer in the summer of 2018, having made 114 appearances for the club across all competitions.
The Englishman was used sparingly by David Moyes's West Ham during the 2021-22 campaign though, making just eight starts across all competitions throughout the season, which contributed to taking his tally to 77 appearances for the Hammers in total.
