Brazilian legend Socrates is making "positive progress" after being admitted to hospital with a stomach haemorrhage.
The 57-year-old midfielder was taken to Albert Einstein hospital in Sao Paolo on Friday with internal bleeding, but staff have said he is getting better.
Socrates captained Brazil in the 1982 World Cup in Spain and also played in the 1986 tournament in Mexico.
Overall, he won 60 caps for his country, scoring 22 goals.
