Bernard: 'Brazil will overcome Neymar loss'

:Headline: Bernard: 'Brazil will overcome Neymar loss': ID:163671: from db_amp
Bernard admits that losing Neymar to injury is a "big loss" but claims that Brazil can still prosper in his absence.

Brazil midfielder Bernard is confident that the Selecao boast enough quality in their ranks to minimise the effects of losing talisman Neymar to injury.

The Barcelona starlet saw his World Cup campaign come to a halt in Friday's 2-1 win over Colombia following a challenge by Juan Camilo Zuniga.

Much has been made over how Luiz Felipe Scolari's side will cope in the absence of the 22-year-old - who had struck four times prior to the injury - but Bernard says that his teammates will soldier on.

"We were all very sad at the situation and also because Neymar was very sad. Of course the whole group has felt his loss," he told reporters.

"He is a big loss not just as a player but also as a person. He is always smiling and saying positive things.

"But we have to be calm and overcome it. We know that we have other players who will be able to replace him."

Brazil face Germany in the semi-final of the tournament in Belo Horizonte on Tuesday.

With captain Thiago Silva also unavailable for the host nation through suspension, the Germans head into the encounter as slight favorites to progress.
