David McCracken's header has given Falkirk the lead over Brechin City in their Scottish Cup match.
Brechin's Paul McLean actually came closest to the opening goal, sending a header just wide of the post, before a corner found the head of McCracken to settle in the back of the goal.
Taylor Morgan went down in the penalty area following a challenge by Brechin keeper Graeme Smith but the referee called play on. Morgan then found himself clean through on goal but his attempted chip over Smith's head went just wide of the target.
Andy Jackson's diving header for Brechin was the closest they came to a goal, but Jamie MacDonald's diving save means that Falkirk go into the break 1-0 up.
