Brentford and Tranmere Rovers have played out a goalless first half in their League One clash this evening.
Tranmere's Ryan Lowe had the game's first real chance, but his right-footed shot from the centre of the box was saved in the top right corner.
Brentford also went close in the opening minutes when Clayton Donaldson's right-footed shot was saved in the top corner of goal by Fon Williams.
William Grigg thought he had put the hosts ahead with a dangerous shot, but Williams again did well to turn the ball away from goal.
Brentford could have gone into the break a goal to the good, but Jonathan Douglas somehow sent his header wide of the post, despite rising highest above his marker.
