Brentford are on course to remain at the summit of League One after recording a 3-1 half-time lead over Bristol City at Griffin Park tonight.
The hosts took a ninth-minute lead through opposition defender Aden Flint, who inadvertently scored past his own goalkeeper Elliot Parish.
Steve Cotterill's men responded well to the setback and provided a swift riposte in the form of an equaliser, with Karleigh Osbourne's 20-yard strike giving Bees' shot-stopper David Button no chance.
Parity was not restored for long, though, as Mark Warburton's men re-established the lead, with Marcello Trotta flicking the ball into the path of Alan Judge, who fired past Parish on 26 minutes.
Trotta opened up a two-goal deficit in the scoreline shortly before the break to give the league leaders a healthy half-time cushion.
