Christian Eriksen featured as a second-half substitute in Brentford's 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The match marked the attacker's first competitive appearance since suffering a cardiac arrest eight months ago while representing Denmark at Euro 2020.
Eriksen was introduced in the 52nd minute of the contest with the Magpies, replacing Mathias Jensen, but he was unable to help the Bees recover from two goals behind.
Having had an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) device fitted, Eriksen left former club Inter Milan, moving to Brentford on a free transfer in January.
The 30-year-old had been featuring in behind-closed-doors matches for the English side before making his official debut for the club on Saturday afternoon.
Eriksen previously played in the Premier League for Tottenham Hotspur between 2013 and 2020, making over 300 appearances for the North London club before joining Inter.
Having been passed fit by Brentford's medical staff and expert doctors, the Dane penned a contract with Thomas Frank's side until the end of the 2021-22 campaign. body check tags ::
