Brentford boss Mark Warburton: 'I've yet to receive any job offers'

Brentford boss Mark Warburton insists that he is yet to be offered a new job ahead of his impending exit from the club.

Outgoing Brentford boss Mark Warburton has claimed that he is yet to receive any job offers for next season.

The Championship club announced in February that the 52-year-old would be leaving Griffin Park in the summer, despite the team enjoying a strong campaign in the Championship.

The Bees must beat Wigan Athletic on Saturday and hope that both Derby County and Ipswich Town lose if they want to secure a berth in the playoffs.

When asked if he was already in demand ahead of next term, Warburton told Sports Mole: "Everyone is very nice with the compliments. It's really nice of people to say 'your phone will be red hot, you'll be turning clubs down'. I can honestly tell you that I hope that's the case, but right now that's not the case.

"Right now the focus has been on this group of players here and that's never changed. But I honestly couldn't tell you what myself and [assistant coach] David Weir will be doing next season. I hope that I've done enough here to get another opportunity - that's all you can hope for."

Warburton took charge of Brentford in December 2013 before guiding the team to promotion from League One at the end of the season.
