Brentford continued their preparations for the new Championship campaign with a 3-0 pre-season friendly victory over Conference new boys Boreham Wood this afternoon.
It took striker Andre Gray 16 minutes to break the deadlock at Meadow Park when he converted a penalty that he had won.
The Championship side then doubled their lead in the 33rd minute through Spanish playmaker Jota, who found the back of the net from the edge of the area.
Then, with the interval approaching, Gray claimed his second goal of the contest with a strike that got the better of the home goalkeeper.
The visiting Bees continued to dominate proceedings after the restart, but they were unable to add to their tally as hosting Wood held out.
