Brentford have parted company with manager Marinus Dijkhuizen after just eight league games in charge of the club.
The Bees have taken eight points from a possible 24 under the Dutchman since he took over from Mark Warburton in the summer.
Saturday's home defeat against Sheffield Wednesday, which leaves the West London outfit just one point above the drop zone, proved to be Dijkhuizen's final game in charge at Griffin Park.
Assistant boss Roy Hendriksen has also left the club, with Lee Carsley taking up the position of head coach until the end of the season.
Carsley, who has spent time working with Brentford's development squad, will be assisted in the role by Paul Williams.
The Bees take on Birmingham City on Tuesday night in a re-arranged Championship fixture, before heading to Derby County in their final outing before the international break.
