Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Oscar Garcia has said that his side have had a "very good season" despite losing to Derby County in the semi-finals of the Championship playoffs.
The Seagulls lost 6-2 to the Rams on aggregate after losing their second leg clash 4-1 at the iPro Stadium on Sunday.
"I couldn't be prouder of my players - Derby were just better," Garcia told BBC Sport.
"There was not much we could do about that. We are disappointed, but if you see the whole picture, it has been a very good season."
Garcia reportedly offered his resignation following Brighton's playoff defeat.
