Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Andrea Orlandi has revealed that his knee operation to repair a damaged meniscus "went very well".
The Spaniard, who picked up the injury in the opening match of the Championship season against Leeds United, is expected to be out of action for a month.
He told the club's official website: "The doctor I went to see is regarded as one of the best in Europe so although it was disappointing that I had to undergo surgery, I was in the best hands.
"I picked up the injury at the start of the season and although I was hoping rest would cure the problem, I was told I would risk further damage if I didn't have surgery. But everything went very well and already I am doing light exercises to help with my recovery.
"I will be back at the club this week to continue my rehabilitation and with another international break coming up soon, hopefully I won't miss too many matches."
Brighton currently sit 14th in the Championship table.
