Peterborough United have beaten Championship outfit Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 in a pre-season friendly at London Road this afternoon.
It took some six minutes for Brighton to take the lead, as academy product Shamir Fenlon fired the Seagulls ahead to give League One Posh a mountain to climb.
Darren Ferguson's side proved up to the task, however, as club record signing Britt Assombalonga struck an equaliser 11 minutes into the second half.
Despite finishing some 12 Football League places below Brighton last season, United then took the lead through striker Kyle Vassell on 63 minutes to mark an impressive pre-season win for Ferguson and co.
