Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly had a bid for Sunderland's Paddy McNair turned down by the League One club.
Previous reports suggest that an unnamed Premier League club has made a £2m offer for the Northern Irish youngster.
According to Sky Sports News, that club is Brighton but Sunderland rebuffed the bid because it did not meet their valuation.
McNair has spent the last two seasons at the Stadium of Light but a serious knee injury has restricted him to 28 appearances in all competitions.
The 23-year-old still has two years remaining on his current contract.
