Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly launched a bid to complete the transfer of Brentford striker Neal Maupay before the window shuts.
The 22-year-old impressed potential suitors during an excellent 2018-19 campaign for the Championship side, scoring 25 goals in total.
The Seagulls fought to sign Maupay from Saint-Etienne two years ago, but the Frenchman opted for a move to London instead.
According to the Evening Standard, Brighton have reestablished their interest in Maupay this summer as a number of Premier League clubs target his signature.
Maupay, who is valued at around £20m, has reportedly attracted attention from Aston Villa and Sheffield United in this window.
Graham Potter's side have already broken their transfer record this summer by capturing Genk striker Leandro Trossard for £18m.
