Bristol City defender Matthew Bates has signed a new contract with the Championship club until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old former Middlesbrough centre-back penned a short-term deal with the Robins in November which ran out on January 16.
New City manager Sean O'Driscoll has now decided to extend his stay at Ashton Gate.
Bates has made eight appearances for the Championship strugglers this season.
