Rochdale boss Keith Hill is set to make more changes as his side look to bounce back from two consecutive heavy defeats when Bristol Rovers visit.
Hill was frustrated with his side’s performance in Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to Portsmouth but was boosted by the return of Zach Clough to the bench after an ankle injury.
Clough is in line to return to the starting line-up while Andy Cannon could continue at full-back after replacing Sam Hart, who took a knock in the first half against Pompey.
Calvin Andrew and Matty Gillam, both of whom dropped to the bench for Saturday’s game, are pushing for recalls.
Bristol Rovers boss Darrell Clarke will consider whether to hand Liam Sercombe a starting place after his quicker-than-expected recovery from injury.
Sercombe impressed in the final 13 minutes of Rovers’ goalless draw at Bradford on Saturday and with creativity hard to come by, Clarke could be tempted to play him from the start.
Captain Tom Lockyer is unlikely to feature after complaining of blurred vision following a head knock on Saturday.
Among those pushing for a return to the starting line-up are striker Alex Jakubiak, who made an impression off the bench at Bradford, plus Chris Lines and Kyle Bennett.
