Bristol Rovers recorded a 2-1 victory over Exeter City to damage their opponents' promotion hopes on Thursday evening.
The hosts created the best chances in the early stages, with Tom Parkes seeing his header tipped wide of the post by Artur Krysiak.
Bristol found the lead in the 22nd minute when Krysiak failed to keep out Oliver Norburn's long-range strike.
Early in the second half, Ryan Brunt went close to doubling his side's lead with a spectacular overhead kick but Krysiak atoned for his earlier mistake by making an impressive save.
Bristol were rarely troubled after the break and managed to add gloss to their victory when Lee Brown drilled home a second goal late on.
