Burnley have confirmed the signing of Dara O'Shea from West Bromwich Albion on a four-year deal.
The 24-year-old joins the newly-promoted Clarets for a fee thought to be worth around £7m, putting pen to paper on a contract which will keep him at Turf Moor until 2027.
O'Shea has previous Premier League experience from his time at West Brom, featuring 28 times in the top flight during the Baggies' 2020-21 relegation campaign.
"It feels great to be here and I really can't wait to get going," he told the club's official website.
"Burnley were the outstanding team last season and they achieved exceptional things. I want to improve as a player first and foremost and I want to help the club achieve their goals.
"I'm at the stage of my career now when I want to push myself. I want to be the best I can be and this is the club that can help me do that and I can help them too."
Manager Vincent Kompany added: "It's great to welcome Dara to Burnley and we know he can play a big part in the progression of our football club. Strong at the back as well as confident moving forward, a leader with experience and knowledge of playing at the highest level.
"Dara will be a great addition to our squad and we can't wait to start working with him."
O'Shea, who made over 100 appearances for West Brom in total, becomes Burnley's third signing since winning promotion back to the Premier League last season, following in the footsteps of Jordan Beyer and Michael Obafemi.
The Clarets face the toughest possible start to life back in the Premier League, taking on treble winners Manchester City in the opening game of the new campaign on August 11. body check tags ::
