Burnley have announced that long-serving defender Ben Mee has signed a new three-year deal at Turf Moor.
The 28-year-old has been with the Clarets since 2011 and had less than 12 months left to run on his existing contract.
Manager Sean Dyche no longer has to fear that Mee could be tempted away on a free next summer, as the centre-back has joined Matt Lowton in extending his stay in Lancashire.
As well as tying down Mee and Lowton to new deals, Burnley also brought in fellow defender Ben Gibson from Middlesbrough earlier this week for £15m.
Only Kevin Long has spent longer at Burnley than Mee, who captained the club for the majority of last season in Tom Heaton's absence.
