Burnley boss Sean Dyche has revealed that he is confident that striker Danny Ings will sign a new deal with the club.
The 22-year-old's current contract at Turf Moor is due to expire in summer 2015.
Ings, who has scored four goals this season, was voted the Player of the Year in the Championship last term.
"We have open dialogue with him and his agent," Dyche told BBC Sport. "The club have made it quite clear how much they value the players we've got and we're in a good position cash-wise because we haven't spent a lot of money. If anything, we're thinking about adding to the squad."
Burnley, who are currently in the relegation zone on goal difference, entertain Liverpool on Boxing Day.
