Burnley manager Sean Dyche has revealed that he remains hopeful of retaining the services of in-demand striker Danny Ings beyond the winter.
Ings, who has netted six Premier League goals this season, is out of contract this summer and has reportedly courted interest from Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
However, Dyche says that the Clarets are active in their attempts to tie the 22-year-old down to a new contract.
"It's an ongoing negotiation, like it is with a lot of players. We get on well with his agent, and that's an important thing as well," he told Sky Sports News.
"Everyone knows where it is and that's always been the case.
"We try and be open and honest in our dealings with players and we've certainly been that with him. Where it takes us, we'll see."
Ings has previously ruled out a January switch away from Turf Moor.
