Burnley co-chairman John Banaszkiewicz has assured manager Sean Dyche that he will given further funding to bolster his squad when the transfer window reopens in January.
The Clarets, who were promoted from the Championship last season, recruited 10 new players during the summer at a cost of around £8m.
Dyche has now been given the green light to strengthen once more in the new year.
"I've congratulated Sean on his transfer activity. It's not been easy, it's been challenging, but it's been a learning curve as well," Banaszkiewicz told the Lancashire Telegraph. "We've got some money left for January so that it keeps our options open."
