Burton Albion continued life under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink undefeated as they beat League Two leaders Luton Town 1-0 at the Pirelli Stadium this evening.
Hasselbaink's first game as Albion boss saw him beat promotion hopefuls Wycombe Wanderers 3-1.
The Dutchman has now extended his winning streak as his side record an impressive win over league leaders Luton, thanks to a Philip Edwards second-half goal.
After a goalless first half, Hasselbaink's team talk seemed to have given his side the edge as the hosts scored minutes after the restart.
Edwards continued his goal-scoring form under his new manager as he headed home a corner to break the deadlock.
Luton responded and piled the pressure on the home side but none of their chances was able to test Jon McLaughlin in the Albion net.
The visitors were dealt another blow as defender Luke Wilkinson received a late red card for denying a goalscoring opportunity.
The loss for Luton sees them slip to third in the table, with Burton leap-frogging them into second place.
