Burton Albion have handed a new one-year deal to Liam Slade.
The 20-year-old defender, who has risen through the ranks at the Pirelli Stadium, made seven appearances for the Brewers last term.
"It is fantastic to see Liam rewarded with a new contract. He has worked hard with the first team and has a long way to go in his development and be pushing for a place in the starting 11," head of academy Mike Whitlow told the club's official website.
"Liam has a really good two years when he was with the academy and it is always pleasing to see a youth product work his way up to the first team."
Slade made his Burton debut away at Bury last September.
