David Flitcroft has admitted that he is "delighted" that Bury have made it through to the third round of the FA Cup for the first time in eight years.
A first-half goal from Danny Rose sent the Shakers through with a 1-0 win at the expense of League One rivals Rochdale, although Bury also had two further goals disallowed.
After the match, the manager told the club's website: "It's fantastic. The following was incredible from us today. We had to get off on the front foot and we did. Everyone did a real team job today.
"I'm delighted with getting to the next round. It's for the fans. I'm delighted for them. It's obvious to say I'd love to draw a big club like Manchester United but we never seem to get those types of games."
The third-round draw, which sees the Championship and Premier League sides enter the competition, takes place tomorrow.
