Cagliari defender Davide Astori has revealed that he is likely to leave for a bigger club this summer.
The Italian international has been linked with a host of teams across Europe in recent months, with Juventus, AC Milan, Southampton and CSKA Moscow all reportedly interested in securing his signature.
After admitting that he turned down a big-money move to Russia last summer Astori has conceded that Cagliari are likely to sell him to the highest bidder in the close season.
He told reporters at a press conference this afternoon: "Last year I turned down a proposal from Russia because I considered Serie A to be more important, but I haven't spoken to the club.
"I'll confirm it is more likely I will leave Cagliari this summer. Regardless of whether I am still here or not, I would like Diego Lopez to be confirmed on the coaching staff."
The 26-year-old central defender would like a reunion with former boss Massimiliano Allegri but his future as Milan coach looks increasingly uncertain.
