Cambridge City manager Gary Roberts has conceded that he did not expect his side to come away from tonight's FA Cup tie against League One side MK Dons with a positive result.
Four promotions separate part-time City and the Dons but that did not stop Roberts's men from holding out for a 0-0 draw and a replay back at the Stadium:MK a week on Tuesday.
Despite admitting that his side rode their luck, Roberts expressed his delight at the result to Sports Mole after the match.
"Deep down if I were being honest, all I wanted was for the players to show what they can do and come away with a bit of credit. If had been one or 2-0, you couldn't have complained," he said. "As it was, 0-0, wonderland time!"
Roberts also admitted that he will have to make some tactical alterations for the trip to Buckinghamshire.
"We will have to change one or two things without a doubt. We can't concede possession and ground like that and expect to come away with a similar result," he added.
"The players, fans, me and the board are all buzzing. Let's go make some money!"
The Lilywhites are currently 16th in the Southern Premier Division.
