Cardiff City have reportedly had a bid accepted by Rotherham United for centre-forward Alex Revell.
The 31-year-old has been a key figure in Rotherham's recent rise from League Two to the Championship.
However, he has just six months left to run on his contract at the New York Stadium, which has alerted Cardiff boss Russell Slade, according to numerous reports.
As a result, it is believed that following negotiations between the two clubs, the Bluebirds have been granted permission to discuss personal terms with the striker, who has scored 34 goals in 170 Rotherham appearances.
Revell has previously played under Slade's management at Brighton & Hove Albion and Leyton Orient.
