Cardiff City have reportedly entered the race to sign Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter on loan.
The Englishman was linked with Middlesbrough and Newcastle United on Wednesday, with the arrival of Jefferson Lerma allegedly pushing him down Eddie Howe's pecking order on the south coast.
According to The Sun, Cardiff City have now placed a firm offer to bring Arter to South Wales for the new season.
The Bluebirds were previously said to have registered initial interest in the 28-year-old, but the newspaper says that Neil Warnock's side have now officially submitted a loan enquiry.
Arter made 16 appearances in all competitions for the Cherries last term.
