Cardiff City have agreed a deal for Magnus Wolff Eikrem and are also close to reaching an agreement for Mats Moller Daehli.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signed the Norwegian midfield duo from Manchester United while in charge of Molde and is moving quickly to whisk them to Wales.
Heerenveen boss Marco van Basten said that, with a heavy heart, the Dutch club were forced to accept the Bluebirds' £2m bid for 23-year-old Eikrem, whom they signed in June of last year.
"We had to sell," the 49-year-old told Leeuwarder Courant. "It's a shame he's leaving."
Meanwhile, Molde director Tarje Nordsrand revealed that Daehli is also closing in on a move to the Cardiff City Stadium.
"We are in talks with Cardiff and those talks are constructive," WalesOnline quotes him as saying. "We have agreed on most parts of the transfer."
Solskjaer has reportedly been given £25m to spend during this month's transfer window.
