Cardiff City have reportedly identified Hamburger SV striker Sven Schipplock as a possible signing for the summer.
The Bluebirds have just secured promotion to the Premier League, and Neil Warnock is looking to assemble a squad capable of remaining in the top flight.
According to reports in Germany, Cardiff are looking to tie up a deal for Schipplock, who is out of contract at the Bundesliga side next month.
The 29-year-old has spent his entire career in German football, but the frontman failed to score from three starts and seven substitute outings in the top flight this season.
Hamburg have suffered relegation to the second tier, realistically ruling out any prospect of Schipplock being offered a new deal before the end of June.
