Cardiff City manager Russell Slade will reportedly launch a bid to lure Celtic defender Adam Matthews back to his former club.
The 22-year-old, who has made 12 international appearances for Wales, played for the Bluebirds between 2009 and 2011 before switching to the Scottish champions.
However, The Express claims that City are ready to add Matthews to their ranks after completing a deal for Rotherham United's Alex Revell on Friday.
Matthews's departure could spark an exodus from Celtic Park, with English clubs already said to be interested in Efe Ambrose, Virgil van Dijk and Kris Commons.
Cardiff are currently 12th in the Championship table.
