Striker Federico Macheda has been allowed to leave Cardiff City by mutual consent.
Since bursting onto the scene with Manchester United, the Italian has struggled for regular first-team football and he now finds himself on the look out for another club after falling out of favour with the Bluebirds.
In two years at the Welsh team, the 25-year-old made just 13 starts and 14 substitute appearances but the last of his six league goals came in March 2015.
A Cardiff statement read: "We would like to thank Federico for his contribution and wish him the very best for his future."
Earlier this summer, Macheda was linked with a return to Italy with Pescara.
