Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has expressed his delight following David Marshall's decision to sign a new deal with the club.
The Scottish international goalkeeper penned a contract extension until 2018 with the Premier League side on Wednesday.
Solskjaer told the club's official website: "This is fantastic - we're delighted to have David here for the foreseeable future.
"I think this gives everybody at the club a boost. We know now that we have one of the best goalkeepers in the country."
Marshall joined Cardiff from Norwich City in 2009.
