Celta Vigo boss Luis Enrique believes that three points against Real Valladolid this evening would be a big step towards securing the club's La Liga status for another season.
As it stands, Celta sit 13th in the table on 40 points, seven points clear of the relegation zone with a game in hand over the teams around them.
However, Enrique has insisted that his side still need one more win to be sure of safety.
"We need to beat Valladolid. It will be a tough opponent who are in dire need of the points. We're united with a huge desire to continue the good work throughout the year. Mathematically we are close to staying in the division," he told Marca.
"We're in the home stretch, taking the last three or four strides, to reach our goal. Often in these cases it's more difficult to control the excessive euphoria and the excess desire to do well.
"We've never speculated and it would be meaningless to do it now."
Enrique has been widely linked with a return to Barcelona at the end of the season.
